UPDATE:

Many patients and parents wanted to know what our future holds.  Mindy will continue as a Vision Therapist at Heaston and Thompson Vision Clinic in Richland.  If you are interested in starting another stage of Vision Therapy, contact them and ask to be with Mindy.

Dr. Randall will be practicing at Columbia Point Eyecare, but is not doing Vision Therapy currently.

Thank you again for your support.

Dear patients and parents of patients,

We are writing to inform you that, sadly, our clinic will be closing its doors by the end of the 2024 year. This decision was difficult and disappointing and is hard to announce. We have been inspired by the change we see in you as patients and the lives we have improved for the better, which is the reason we have been trying to avoid closing.

Our practice has faced numerous complications trying to bill insurance because of the unique nature of what we do. These issues, coupled with the economic downturn in recent years, has resulted in the practice no longer being financially viable.

We sincerely appreciate the support and trust you have given us as we have partnered with you to improve our patient’s visual skills. We will continue to offer treatment to our current patients for the remainder of this year. Any appointments that were previously made for any time after December 20th, 2024 are officially canceled. If you wish to be seen before our closure, please contact us immediately. For future vision evaluation needs, please contact your optometrist, and for continued vision therapy services please contact Pasco Vision Clinic, or Heaston and Thompson Vision Clinic. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us. We want to make sure our patients continue to receive the care they need.

If you would like copies of any of your medical records from our office, please email: information@wavtc.com. They will be kept for three years, after which they will no longer be available. If you were referred to our office, your referring optometrist or physician will also have the records we regularly sent to them regarding your treatment.

Again, we appreciate your support and have loved working to improve vision in our patients and community.

With Regret,

Dr. Randall, Michelle, Mindy, Jeanne, Summer

Our daughter was struggling in school with reading as well as with bumping into things and falling a lot. Since we started she has improved in all of these areas. I am grateful for those that believe in and are doing the work to help kids understand and learn what they can do to get better. Thank you 🙏 WA Vision Therapy

I have 2 kiddos who have completed 32 weeks of VT here. Dr. Randall is great and the therapist are amazing. The therapists made sure we knew how to work with our kids at home for weekly exercises and made themselves available to answer any questions we had. I appreciated their gentleness with my kids and the relationships that were built with them. It was obvious that this is more than just a "job" to them. My kids enjoyed their weekly visits and the point/prize system they offer was a great incentive for them to get their weekly home exercises done.

Help us help your students

Three to five children out of every classroom have vision problems that can affect learning, reading, and overall school performance.  Most of the time parents, teachers, doctors, and especially the children have no idea they are seeing any different than anyone else.  So many of these children suffer needlessly and do not reach their potential.

We need your help.  We know that not only parents, but teachers, pediatricians, school nurses, counselors, and administrators know when a child is struggling. We are here to give you tools to know when it may be a vision problem and where to go to get answers.

Success Stories

Real People, Real Stories.

Dear Vision Therapy,

Thank you all for helping me with reading and math. I am doing great in school. I have A’s and B’s. You guys helped me with my school academics. I love your trampoline in your building, it is very fun to play on. Thank you Emmily for letting me be on the trampoline while you were talking to my mom when she was at work, and I was doing vision therapy. I miss coming to therapy because you guys are nice and funny. I am doing well… read more

Vision therapy helped me with reading, so the words do not move around on the paper. It also has helped me with math and writing. When I do my school work, I am no longer tired or distracted. My writing has improved, which has helped me write faster. I now like to do math, writing, and reading. Finally, the most important thing is that I no longer have headaches, blurred vision, or feelings of being tired, which has helped me to keep up in my school work. Thank you Dr. Winters, Seth, and Carrie for helping change my life.

Vision Therapy has helped me in a lot of ways. When I read it was sometimes blurry. Now I can read as long as I want and the words do not get blurry. I am also a lot better at comprehension. I had troubles with remembering what I had read. What I love about vision therapy is that they will work at your own pace and everybody is super nice. I recommend vision therapy to everybody who is having trouble with types of reading. I enjoyed it a lot and I hope everybody else does too.

Vision Therapy helped me a lot. My eyes were tired all the time so they would roll to reset their focus. By going to therapy and doing my home activities, my eyes feel a lot better.

– Sydney Peters

Before Vision therapy I had a hard time judging distance and catching a ball.  I would skip over math problems and workbook questions and I didn’t like to read for more than a few minutes.  Since I started last spring I have seen a gradual improvement in sports and school work, but my reading skills have drastically improved. I am reading for an hour every night and am more interested in chapter books. I’m not getting headaches or getting fatigued during school and I’m much faster at getting my work done.

I am so thankful that I got to do Vision Therapy.  It has helped me so much. During the school year it would take me a whole semester to read a 200-300 page book.  During the summer it would take me the whole summer to read my summer reading book, which was only 250 pages.  Now it only takes me a couple of weeks! Also, it would take me a couple of hours to finish by five page science packet, but now it takes me 20 minutes! I now enjoy reading so much, that I read my book everywhere. It’s so nice to understand and enjoy reading, so I can enjoy it with everybody else. That is my story.
